I did another test with dual cameras, with an upgraded SDcard so it actually recorded this time. I setup the cheap shotgun mic hung under the smart phone camera (SFW link), and set the angle of the smartphone camera (SFW link) at about ribs to knees.
Results from the mic: It seems I don't have much volume to my sounds (moans/breathing) so something else needs to be done. Either the shotgun mic needs to be much closer, or I need to use a lav mic (Amazon link) right next to my face. I might run both the lav and just a smartphone on record on the pillow so I can compare results.
Results from the smartphone camera: The wide angle wasn't to great, as static legs and torso don't add much to the video. Moving the camera closer might best. If I do the wider angle again, I need to remember to include using my abs with my moments so there at least is something more interesting to see. An idea I had for next time was to chroma key out the background so I don't have to use a blur effect on the crop of the picture in picture (PiP).
Results from editing: I learned a lot about cropping, masking, and sizing in Premiere by playing with the footage. I figured out how keyframes worked, so any adjustments actually can change with the timeline. The PiP actually pans up at one point, and the bonus slow motion shot has manual motion tracking in it. I don't know if I can do smart motion tracking in Premiere but that will be my next challenge.

Help/advice on a chroma issue in FCP7!

Hello, if anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it!
I'm working on some test footage for a project, and finding vertical green lines appearing in my footage after rendering and exporting with FCP7. VIDEO HERE - You can see the green lines in the actors forehead in the final composite.
I'm wondering if this could be a hardware issue. My previous machine was an older iMac, and I never ran into this problem when doing green screen work. This is my first time keying in FCP on my new machine - iMac, 3.2ghz i5, 8 gigs DDR3, os10.8.5 FCP 7.0
Some details on the project - footage shot on unhacked GH2, ingested to FCP7 as 1920x1080 23.98fps ProRes422. Cutting on a 1280x720 23.98 ProRes422 timeline.
I first add Color Smoothing - 4:1:1, then FCP's "Chroma Keyer," then Color Corrector 3 way to blend the footage together. I keep getting these vertical green lines on the actors face.
Understanding that I should probably just use a different program to get a clean key, does anyone know WHY these lines are appearing? Is it a hardware issue? Thanks!
