How can I clean up my PC? I'm running out of room on my C Drive..
Hi there, I don't know if I'm in the right place for this or not, if not, please redirect me to the correct sub. I don't know much aside from the basics about PC's, so my apologies if I'm missing information.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1764 Laptop, running Windows 7 Home (64 bit). My ex-boyfriend was a big computer person, so he ended up adding a few things to my computer like FileHippo and Team Viewer, and I think he added more memory to my computer even. He was the one in charge of keeping my computer up to date and clean. Since we have broken up, it still runs fine, but I am running out of room and it is slowing down.
I know he moved all my pics, docs and such to my D Drive, and currently I am showing 83.9 GB free of 164 GB on my D Drive, and on my C Drive, I have 1.02 GB free of 58.5 GB. I go through periodically and move downloaded pics/movies etc to the D drive (yes, I move, not copy) and I clean up what I think is not necessary, but no matter what I do, I can never get more than 5 GB open on my C Drive. What can I do? Am I worrying too much about this?

Windows 7 64bit Dual Boot Slow/Explorer Crashing
Good evening all.
I have a dual boot Dell Inspiron 550 8 gigs of ram, dual boot Win 7 64bit and Debian Jessie 8.
I am currently in safe mode, where everything seems to be working 100%.
But the moment I boot into normal mode, everything slows down.
I click on Firefox or folder or anything and nothing reacts until minutes later.
Here is the list of things I have done so far.
- sfc /scannnow
- Run Malware Antimalware
- Run JRT - Malware's Junkware Removal Tool
- Run TDSSKiller - RootKit Killer
- Run WinSockReset
- Run Tweaking.com - All In One Repair
Some of the fixes I have tried.
- Copy explorer.exe from c:\windows to c:\wndows\system32
- Rename thumbnail cache 96 db file
So I have in safe mode checked all my hardware, chkdsk, sfc scannow, malware/adware/spyware cleaners, now it does boot fine, but still anytime I run anything it crashes.
I have a free firewall called 360 Total Security.
These are the regular maintenance utilities I use for performance/malware/etc.
- DiskMax - http://www.koshyjohn.com/software/diskmax/
- Defraggler - https://www.piriform.com/defraggler
- SpyBot - https://www.safer-networking.org/
- Toolwiz Care - http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/toolwiz_care.html
- Aomei Backupper - http://filehippo.com/download_aomei_backuppe
The errors I get usually are.
WerFault.exe 0xc0000185 or msdt.exe 0xc0000185
In safe mode, everything seems to work hunky dory, but in normal mode, something is messed up, and it's beyond my skill/experience level to see what is.
Thank you for your time.
